Ramming.

Postby Jack Powers » June 14th, 2015, 11:31 pm

Police in my own opinion should not be allowed to ram a civilians vehicle at any time because it will be putting the civilians lives in danger and they are trying to protect not kill. They should never try to hit there wheel or any of that because in Arma as I have seen it can make one of your cars blow up.

Sometimes ramming is the only option when a police chase goes on for too long. I don't recommend ramming directly, but making the vehicle 'fish-tail' would be the best bet.

As hunter said it is sometimes necessary to take a P.I.T. Maneuver or shoot out tires with a non-lethal weapon as well as officers having a set of spike strips. The only problem comes in when the person no longer driving in a controlled environment but is now an endangerment to the rest of our fellow officers as well as other fellow civilians. That is when we use higher caliber small arms and are allowed lethal.
